- Bicycle journeys.
The Youth Residence De Winner can provide 35 bicycles. Our domain is situated on the junction of the bike network of Northern Limburg between junction 256 and 257. You will find infinite possibilities for one day trips, but the bikes are also useful for a trip to the swimming pool.
- The climbing wall and the Speleo Box are permanently ready on the domain. The use of it is only allowed under the professional guidance of the recognized outdoor sports organisation Dudh Kosi.
- Canoe and Kayak: The departure for a Dommel River sailing is in Neerpelt, at 7 kilometres of the Youth Residence De Winner. The course is about 16 kilometres and streams through two nature reserves: the Hageven and the Malpy. For more information, contact Dudh Kosi
- Nature exploration: Discover in a pleasant way the secrets of the water, the bottom and the trees under the professional guidance of a nature guide.
A bee-keeper introduces you in the secrets of the extraordinary world of flowers, bees and honey.
- Wood lashing: The Youth Residence De Winner is a domain for scouts and guides. So there is plenty of lashing poles available. If you don’t know how to do it, we dispose of a manual and would be pleased to give you some explanations.
- "I am in the green zone": The Youth Residence is a green top youth residence! The solar boilers and the wastewater recuperation are rewarding subjects for ecologic and educational games for the younger guests.
- Swimming pool Dommelslag is a covered swimming paradise with a rapid, located in the centre of Neerpelt: Dommelslag. Also in 'De Lage Kempen' and camping 'Blauwe Meer' you can swim in an outside pool.
- The Mill Museum: In Overpelt you will find several still working mills. How does a windmill work? What is the use of a millstone? How did the miller live? You will discover it in the Mill Museum.
- Obstacle tracks: On the Youth Residence you will have a permanent constructed obstacle track with 10 different activities such as archery, wall climbing, speleo box, pendulum, go-cart race and so on. This track is only allowed under the professional guidance of Dudh Kosi.
- Nature reserves: From the Youth Residence De Winner on you can visit 3 nature reserves: ”˜t Plat, Resterheide and Pijnven. The visits are possible with or without nature guide.
- Recreation areas: you will find two renovated and free accessible recreation areas: ”˜t Pelterke in Overpelt and the Scoutsrally in Neerpelt.
- Dairy centre: The whole process of dairy. With interactive workshops.
- The Wood of sounds invites you to a permanent open air collection of sound crystals. This path enables you to discover the surprising character of different sounds trough contemporary art. Musica can provide a guided tour.
